READ REFLECTIONS BY FR. LAURIAN

Fr. Laurian Janicki, OFM has been assigned to serve at the Santuario de San Antonio parish. Fr. Laurian was ordained a priest in 1964 and has been a priest for 50 years.

He is from Chicago, Illinois, USA and has a counseling degree from La Salle. Fr. Laurian is not new to the Philippines, having first served at Novaliches in 1965, teaching at the seminary. He has also served at Calbayog, Samar; and at St. Anthony together with Fr. Baltazar Obico, OFM.

In 1985, Fr. Laurian left for the US to a parish outside Chicago. He stayed on for 21 years after which he was assigned in Pennsylvania from 2006 – 2014. In Pennsylvania, Fr. Laurian was the guardian of the Byzantine Franciscan community.

Fr. Laurian is not new to SSAP, having been here in the parish 2 years ago for 3 months. He is here as a member of the community and here to work. As Fr. Laurian explained, “You and I are the Church. This is only a building.”
