Two Caregiving Applicants Seek Tuition Assistance
A number of residents have approached the Parish Office seeking referrals for caregivers from among the latest batch of Caregiving graduates.. Caregiving is truly a noble calling and this year we have two applicants.

College: University of Caloocan (2013-2014)
Bachelor of Science in Tourism
Desired Course: Caregiving, HS GWA: 81%

Kariz dropped out after her first year in college at the University of Caloocan due to financial problems. Her mother works as a saleslady in Ortigas and earns around P 10, 000.00 a month to support eight children. Her call center agent sister, who used to finance her studies, resigned from her job when she got pregnant, Kariz worked as a babysitter for one year but now takes care of her sister’s children. She feels “Caregiving” will bring out her nurturing and caring qualities. It is also her passport out of poverty. Tuition Fee: P28, 000/ Transportation: P20, 000/Food: P10,000 TOTAL P 58,000/ School Year.

Mara, who is the fifth from a family of eight children, hails from Antique where her father is a rice farmer. She resides in her uncle’s house in Taguig, but her sister Nickie, who works as a caregiver in Makati, helps in the expenses. Nickie is her caregiver role model, her inspiration. Dependable and hardworking, Mara is determined to finish the course with high grades. Transportation: P15, 000/ TOTAL: P 15,000/ School Year
